About Us

Tony and Phil are lifelong residents of the community and have dedicated their lives to its well being.

After graduating from Pickens High School in 1985, Tony went to Emory University where he graduated with honors in 1989; Phil went to The Citadel where he also graduated with honors in 1989 after which he pursued his law degree, graduating from the University of Georgia’s School of Law in December of 1991.

After graduation, Tony came back to Pickens County to begin a career in education.  That decision gave him the unique experience of serving as a high school teacher, a department head, an Assistant Superintendent, a Superintendent, and the Chairman of the Board of Education.  This tenure with the District was interrupted for an interval when he had to take over the family farm.  In his twenty plus years of serving the Pickens County School District, he only had to send one child to the principal’s office.  That mindset–that fundamental understanding of human nature–coupled with his extensive training in coursework delineated by the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution uniquely qualifies him to resolve your conflict.

Phil also came back to Pickens County after graduation from The Citadel. He obtained a law degree from the University of Georgia before becoming a productive member of the community.  Upon graduation from law school, he joined the firm started by his grandfather, Phil M. Landrum, Sr., which had been continued by his father, Phil M. Landrum, Jr. and his aunt, Susan Landrum.  Now a sole practitioner, his experience with domestic disputes, local government conflict, wills and estates, real estate and banking, together with matters involving children and families give him a unique insight into how those issues impact Appalachia and its residents.  That insight, coupled with his extensive training in coursework delineated by the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution also uniquely qualifies him to resolve your conflict.
